Stem cells were recently used on patients with COVID on a trial basis, with encouraging results.
In fact, in a clinical trial that was published in Aging and Disease and run by Robert Chunhua Zhao, from the School of Life Sciences at Shanghai University in China, seven patients who were diagnosed with COVID-19 underwent stem cell therapy, and within only two days of the injection, all seven patients experienced significant alleviation of their symptoms.
10 days following the treatment, three patients were discharged (one of whom was considered a serious case). Not a single patient had a negative side effect from the procedure, and all experienced improved outcomes. Zhao said, “This result is encouraging and exciting.” Per recent data, the study went on to treat 31 patients suffering from COVID-19, every one of whom showed improvements, and the trial is being continued.
